Facebook Downloader
Download Facebook Reels, Watch videos and public page videos in HD. Paste a link below, pick a quality and save the MP4 — there is nothing to install and no account to create. This page explains what the tool can and cannot do, so you know before you paste.
How to download a Facebook video
Copy the video link
On the Facebook app, tap Share on the Reel or video, then Copy link. On desktop, copy the address from the browser bar.
Paste the link
Paste it into the box above and tap Download. The tool checks the link and lists the available qualities.
Pick a quality and save
Choose HD when it is offered for the sharpest file, or a smaller size if you are on mobile data. The MP4 saves straight to your device.
What this Facebook downloader can save
- Facebook Reels — short vertical videos from the Reels tab, in HD when Facebook provides it.
- Watch videos — longer videos from Facebook Watch and the video tab.
- Public page videos — videos posted by public pages, which make up most of what people want to save.
Every download is an MP4 file that plays on any phone, tablet or computer, with no watermark added by RamRom.
What it cannot download — and why
This is the honest part most downloader sites skip. RamRom can only fetch what a logged-out visitor could see. That means:
- Private profiles and friends-only posts cannot be downloaded. The tool has no Facebook login, so anything behind a login wall is invisible to it.
- Private groups are off limits for the same reason — group content is only visible to members.
- Live broadcasts cannot be saved while streaming. Once the stream ends and Facebook publishes it as a regular video or Reel, the link works like any other.
- Stories are short-lived by design; by the time a link is shared, the story is usually gone.
No downloader tool can get past these limits — any site that claims it can is not being straight with you.
Video quality: what "HD" means here
When you paste a link, the tool asks Facebook's servers which versions of the video exist and lists them for you. HD versions are offered when the uploader's original was high quality and Facebook kept an HD copy. If only the standard version is listed, that is all Facebook makes available for that post — picking "HD" is not possible because the file does not exist on their side. A smaller file is sometimes the smarter choice anyway: on a phone with limited storage or a slow connection, the standard version downloads faster and looks fine on a small screen.
If a link does not work
- Check the privacy: open the link in a private browser window without logging in. If you cannot see the video there, the tool cannot see it either.
- Copy the full link: shortened or partial links sometimes miss the video ID. Use Share → Copy link inside the Facebook app.
- Try again in a minute: the video service this tool uses gets busy at peak hours. The tool retries automatically and tells you honestly if the service is busy rather than failing silently.
- Check it is a video: plain text posts, photo albums and event pages have no video file to download.

A note on rights
Downloading a video does not transfer any rights in it. The creator still owns their work. Save videos for personal, offline viewing — your commute, your archive, your own edits — and do not re-upload someone else's video as your own. If you are a creator, this same tool is handy for backing up your own Reels.
Frequently asked questions
Can I download Facebook Reels with RamRom?
Yes. Paste the Reel link above and you will be offered the available qualities, including HD when Facebook provides it.
Why do some Facebook videos fail to download?
Only public videos can be downloaded. Videos shared with friends only, in private groups, or on private profiles cannot be fetched by any downloader tool, because the tool sees the same public page a logged-out visitor sees.
Is there a Facebook app or account needed?
No. The downloader runs in your browser on phone, tablet and computer — no install, no sign-up.
Can I download Facebook Live videos?
Live broadcasts cannot be downloaded while they are streaming. Once the broadcast ends and Facebook publishes it as a regular video or Reel, the link works like any other.
